DTF, DTG & Heat Transfer
Full-color apparel printing without the screens
What is the difference between DTF and DTG printing?
DTG (direct-to-garment) prints water-based ink directly into the fabric, so it feels soft and works best on cotton. DTF (direct-to-film) prints the design on a film, adds adhesive powder, and heat-presses it onto the shirt. DTF typically works on more fabrics, including polyester, but the design sits on top and can feel slightly thicker.

For a full-color logo on a cotton t-shirt, direct-to-garment (DTG) is typically the best fit. On polyester or blends, a full-color transfer such as DTF or heat transfer is typically better. Screen printing usually makes sense for large runs of a few flat colors. Each product page shows which methods that shirt offers.
