How long does it take to get custom banners, flags or signs?

What sets the timeline

Two clocks run on every order: production and shipping. Production is the time to print, finish and pack your items. Shipping is the time a carrier needs to deliver them.

Production time counts business days, so weekends do not count. It starts once your proof is approved and the order is paid. Approved business accounts on terms can start as soon as the proof is approved.

The imprint method drives the production time. For most methods, standard production is typically 7 to 10 business days, and embroidery is typically 10 to 14. Banners, flags and signs can be made with different methods, including large-format and flag printing. The general ranges above do not name every one of them. Treat the production time on the product page as the number to plan with. That page also lists the methods the product offers.

The product page's delivery estimate adds transit time, typically 1 to 7 business days depending on distance and where the item ships from.

Speed options

There are three speed tiers, and all include a free digital proof:

• Standard: production by imprint method, with no rush surcharge.
• Rush: typically 3 to 5 business days, with priority production and a same-day proof. A surcharge may apply.
• Super Rush: typically 24 to 48 hours, on select products and imprint methods only. Confirm with your rep before you count on it.

Work back from your event date

Start with the day you need the items in your hands. Then subtract:

1. Shipping transit, plus a 1-day buffer.
2. Production days for the speed tier you choose.
3. Proof time. Most proofs arrive within about 24 hours, and you still need to review and approve yours.

Orders placed after the 4 PM Pacific cutoff start processing the next business day. Production and in-hands dates are estimates, not guarantees, so the buffer matters.

If an order is above the parcel limit shown on the product page, it ships by LTL freight. Freight is quoted after the order is placed, so ask your rep about timing. For tight deadlines, 2-day air and overnight shipping are available.

Common causes of delay

• Slow proof approval. Production cannot start until you approve.
• Low-quality art. Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) avoid back-and-forth about a blurry logo.
• Unclear colors. Send your PMS numbers up front if you know them.
• Late payment. Unpaid orders wait unless you have approved terms.
• Several imprint locations. One location is typically faster.
• Forgetting shipping. Fast production does not help if delivery takes days.
